The History of Garners News
Garners News was founded in 1926 by Horice Garner, who opened a newsagent on South Street in Eastbourne. At the beginning, Garners News only provided a small number of deliveries to the surrounding area.
Then, as World War II began, Horice's son Jack took over the running of the shop and from there, Jack built up the delivery service. Jack's son, Michael, inherited Garners News in the 1980s and passed it on to his son, William, in 2007. William has evolved Garners News into a successful Newspaper Delivery Company that now serves a large part the South East of England.
