These are our general terms of service. However, if for any reason you have a separate contract with us, Garners News Ltd, please refer to that contract for any further specific terms.
General Terms
- All communications relating to your account or deliveries must be made to a member of our team in the office and not your deliverer. Please either contact our office direct or click on ‘Manage My Account’.
- An itemised bill/invoice will be sent on a 4-weekly basis for any amounts owing. Business and Wholesale customers can be offered a different frequency bill/invoice.
- Our default billing method is via email. We do currently offer a hard copy sent out with your delivery.
- The total amount owing is to be paid in full within 10 days.
- Your bill or invoice will include the cost of any products you have ordered along with any delivery charges or processing charges as applicable.
- Delivery charges are subject to change without prior notice, generally this is on an annual basis. Any increase will always be itemised on your bill/invoice. If you are unhappy with any increase, you are within your rights to cancel the service within 7 days of being notified of it. Your account will then be credited with the difference in price since the most recent increase and will then be closed.
- Our default method of payment is by Direct Debit. We do accept alternative payment methods: via BACS (please use your Account ID as a reference), via ‘Manage My Account online. If you choose to pay by cheque, please note that as from 1st January 2024 a processing fee of £1 will be applied to your account if you choose this method. There will be no other processing fee for the other payment methods.
- If you make regular weekly payments or pay your account in advance you may not receive a bill however you can request an itemised statement at any time.
- We accept vouchers as issued by publishers for subscription deals or special offers. We are unable to return vouchers. If you send vouchers in advance these will be accepted and credited on the understanding, you agree to receive deliveries for the minimum term those vouchers cover.
- When using I-movo to pay for your newspapers, please contact Garners News if you need to pause your deliveries whilst you’re away. You must also contact the publisher to ensure a credit is applied for this period.
- Failure to pay your bill on time may result in service being ceased pending payment being received.
- We reserve the right to add to your balance any additional charges incurred for pursuing late or non-payments. These charges may include but are not limited to court filing fees, legal costs and interest.
- 48 hours notice required to put a general stop/start for holiday on your account. Failure to do this may result in your newspaper still being delivered the charge remaining on your account. Exceptions to this would be if an account required terminating due to the death of the customer.
